We lost our house in foreclosure this year.  After some health problems that put me out of a job, there were no other options.  I sold our clothes, furniture, Christmas decorations and even toys in a garage sale in August.  There wouldn’t be room in our new apartment, and we needed the money just for moving expenses.  My kids handled it better than I did, I think.
